Всъщност истината е следната:

И apparent i obvious ни говорят за нещо, което може лесно да се усети(види,чуе,помирише... да стигне до сетивата). Apparent обаче фокусира най-вече върху значението, че нещо лесно и на готово може да се види. Obvious от друга страна обаче, се залепя за това, което не седи въобще ама под никакъв въпрос, понеже направо ти вади очите.
