Спешно ми трябват няколко текста преведени от английски на немски свързани със световното .. Ако някой може да помогне няма да е зле : )))
With the UEFA EURO 2008 tournament from Austria-Switzerland just days away, the Sportable staff will bring you team previews leading up to the opening match. Group by group, we will discuss team rosters, flaws. and chances of being crowned European Champions.
The above slogan on the Portugal team bus reads, “This coach is driven by the will to win.” If that is the case, I sure hope Cristiano Ronaldo is the man behind the wheel. Ronaldo, who averages a goal nearly every other match with the national team, must lead this squad throughout June. Everything starts with the 23-year-old, who scored 42 goals this season for Manchester United. Can Portugal build on their second place finish from 2004 or will they dance their way out of Austria and Switzerland early? If Portugal suffer a disappointing finish, look for ex Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to be roaming the sidelines beginning in September for 2010 Wold Cup qualifiers.
Attack
Portugal travels to the European championships with arguably the fastest team in the tournament. This speed helped the Portuguese produce 24 goals in 14 qualifying matches. Of course, we all know about Cristiano Ronaldo, but if he gets shut down (which probably won’t happen too often) who else is left to get the job done? Portugal has a bunch of strong offensive-minded role players who are familiar with putting balls behind the net. Beginning with Nuno Gomes, Portugal’s attack features consistent veterans and young stars. Deco and Petit (who will retire from international competition) will anchor the midfield with Nani and Ronaldo lingering out wide. Simao will compliment. Look for Nuno Gomes to score more goals than Ronaldo in this tournament. With defenses keeping an eye out for Ronaldo, I can easily see Nuno Gomes exploding. The absence of Maniche and Tiago from the squad will take a toll on Portugal a bit, but look for Porto youngster Ricardo Quaresma to make a strong showing for the Portugese.
Defense
Portugal’s defense is capable of giving half the Iberian Peninsula a heart attack with some sloppy play. As longtime goalkeeper Ricardo fills the space between the posts, we could see a very old back line for the Portuguese this summer. Juventus defender Jose Andrade will not be with the squad, which certainly makes me cautious of the central defense. Sure, Carvalho and Miera will hold their own. But aside from that, can we count on Bruno Alves and Miguel? A key contributer to the Portugese defense is head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. Scolari stresses attack (literally), leaving his central defense to be more exposed at times. Rather than sending a thunderous attack down the wings I might suggest a more central attack throughout the later stages of tournament. World Champions Italy gave the Portuguese a 3-1drumming in a friendly during February. Why? Extremely poor defense and dreadful ball clearing!
Outlook
Portugal has every tool in the shed to make a deep run in this tournament. As the Czechs travel to Austria and Switzerland without Tomas Rosicky; Portugal could easily advance with a first place seed after easily defeating the Swiss. I think the Portuguese will struggle a bit with Turkey, but we could see them in cruise control until a possible semifinal meeting with Germany. As far as returning to Portugal with the trophy, I would say the chances are slim. Defeating Germany and possibly Italy, Spain, or France back to back will be a daunting task.
