Единствения начин да намалим престъпленията в нашата страна, е да направим наказанията по-строги.

There are many problems in society today. The prisons are overcrowded, people are killing people for nothing but the watch on their wrist, and teens are having babies. These problems are not only bound to a specific culture, or demographic, they affect everyone.
The prisons are overcrowded because almost everything is crime. Crime happens all over the world every second of every day. Thus making numerous amounts of victims.
Robberies, burglaries, auto thefts, and larceny are everyday realities in our society. But why do they happen? When you examine these crimes, and look at explanations from sociologists as to why they happen, the idealistic notions of our society do not hold up. The fact is that not everyone is afforded the same luxuries, as means of achieving success. Therefore, when the means are lacking but the desire is strong, any methods especially committing a property crime, become options. According to the crime clock every twenty-five point three seconds a motor vehicle theft occurs.
Teen violence is very common in our society. Do young people understand the danger they are causing to the people and themselves? The answer depends on how they deals with problems, how their past was and the environment in which they lived in. Teens commit crimes out of anger, jealousy, or they do it to fit in. Some of them murder or steal to be accepted into a gang. These young people who live in an aggressive, destructive, hostile and cruel home often follow the footsteps of another who acts in that manner.
Murder is the most vindictive crime society can commit. Society often wonders, what makes an individual want to commit such a crime. As individuals in society, the belief of being born a murderer is false. No one is born a murderer; society gives birth to that murderer.
Years past if you committed a crime you would be tracked down by the police, charged, tried, sentenced or acquitted.
The only punishment which still has its “ for” and “against” is the capital punishment. Life is a precious gift from God. Even when a person has no material possessions, life is still possessed. In light of these observations it is logical to assume that murder, the taking of another life, is the most heinous of crimes. Penalties imposed upon criminals should match the crimes committed. Therefore, the worst crime possible, murder, should receive the worst penalty possible – death. Justice must be done. Capital punishment is the just punishment for serious crime offenders. The basis of a punishment must be just and fair to both the victims and the offenders, and definitely capital punishment serves this purpose by the “ a life for a life” principle. Potential serial killers could not have been serial killers if they were executed after the first murder. It is argued, the capital punishment should be banned to prevent the execution of innocent people unjustly convicted in capital murder. People argue that punishing violence with violence is not civil or effective. Another argument against the death penalty is the Bible which tells us not to murder. Murder is the unlawful killing of one human being by another. The death penalty is the lawful killing of a human being after a trial by peers. So the death penalty is not a murder, but justice!
