One Pretty Cruel Flower
If I was a fragile flower
And I grew just in black and white,
Would you rip your heart off for me
Paint all my petals redly bright?
Would you gouge out your emerald eyes
To color my stem nicely green?
Would you tear off the flesh and bone
To make a shed, keep out searching wind?
Would you pull of all your hair
To protect me from the burning sun?
You do all that, then I’ll be yours forever
Swaying gently over you, dead one.
