25 seconds of shades
The shades quicken near me
hazy sinews of a lost life.
Clawing at fruits of grief
I’ve given up this strife.
As old as I have grown
I count to six – no more.
Six years and I’ll be gone
Forgotten and lost. A lasting bore.
A stranger and a silver fox
threading upon a path of hearts.
Caged like beast inside a box
Sorrow and Silence I call my bards:
they sing a song of olden days.
Tell me no more, lover
/grieve for me no more/
just cover up my lifeless gaze.
The shades are my only cover
dismissed became my youthful blaze.
The shades quicken near me
but I am dead, dead, dead.
What is only left to be
is to pay for all sinners’ debt.
At the edge of human reason;
a bolt against raging skies
do not lead me into treason –
just ignite me and let me fly.
For I have reached the truth:
peace long awaited shall only
in the early grave of mine lie.
The shades quicken near me
hazy sinews of a lost life.
Clawing at fruits of grief
I’ve given up this strife.
As old as I have grown
I count to six – no more.
Six years and I’ll be gone
Forgotten and lost. A lasting bore.

Caged like beast inside a box
