1.At school
What you should do:
-You should adapt to the lack of control
-You should join a few social groups, so that you don't have to play by other people's rules.
-You ought to study and attend classes, if you don't want trouble at home.
-You had better buy brunch as soon as the bell rings, because you'd be last in line and waste your break.
What you shouldn't do:
-You shouldn't keep your opinion to yourself when you feel you're not being treated the way you should be.
-You'd better not lose the teacher's line of thought, cause what your classmates have to say is usually not that bright.
-You shouldn't cause too much havoc, since it's more often than not not worth it.

2.On the streets
What you should do:
-You should watch out for yourself at night.
-You may ask anyone for help if you're in need, but you should also keep in mind it might not be the most useful piece of advice you've come across, or even might not have anything to do with your question. Anyway, do ask.
-You should memorize a few faces, because, frankly, you've already been memorized by many.
-Keep you change in a safe place. For example, your underware is a good choice, but your free to deepen the concept as much as you wish.
What you shouldn't do:
-You shouldn't, by all means, ever ask for a phrase in Bulgarian. The way people will translate it for you barely scrapes the surface of reality, yet it encompasses all aspects of improper speech.
-You had better not buy any goods from random street salesmen, if you want your money to be well spent.
-You shouldn't give money for charity to random people, if it's not apparent that they need it, since most of the people who'd ask you are in need of the money less than you are.

3. At someone else's place
What you should do:
-You should always take off your shoes.
-You're more than allowed to complement their home.
-You can ask for a house tour.
What you shouldn't do:
-You shouldn't refuse to try the housewife's cuesine.
-You shouldn't ask anyone to pass the salt/pepper/cheese/etc. if you can get it yourself
-You had better not request to have the pop-folk music changed.

4.Clothes
What you should do:
-You should wear clothes you like yourself and not take in mind anyone else's opinion. Ofcourse, you shouldn't walk naked.
-You should keep in mind, there will always be people to hate you for how you look like.
-You had better have sportswear and clothes to be worn at home, so that you feel most comfortable.
What you shouldn't do:
-You shouldn't judge people by their clothes, but you should also get to know the different stereotypes so that you don't lose hang of what people are going on about in a conversation
-You shouldn't boast about expensive clothing.

5. At business meetings
What you should do:
-You should speak in a formal manner
-You should treat the others with respect
What you shouldn't do:
-You should never forget you're protecting your own interests.

6.Signs
What you should do:
-You should learn the traffic laws.
-You should take things at your own pace and take your time to get used to driving in Bulgaria.
-You should try to look into the bulgarians sign language system.
What you shouldn't do:
-You'd better not ignore signs because there are more than enough people doing it as we speak and it might turn out to be rather hazardous for your life and put you at jeopardy.
-It might be wise not to nod or shake your head to much, as these gestures are interpreted in very different ways than in the rest of the world.

7. Greetings
What you should do:
-You should speak louder, this is a sign of bulgarian mentality and people here appreciate foreigner's who adopt our mindset.
-You should use firm handshakes and shoulder pats.
-You should act as if you haven't seen the person for 10 years, even if you haven't ever seen him.
What you shouldn't do:
-You shouldn't mention anyone's relatives if you don't know the person you're talking to well enough.
