This is what iTunes download when we restore the iPhone. These files may overwrite what we already have on the iPhone, without touching the other things (music, videos etc - which are in another partition file system device). With PwnageTool, we do, is to modify the computer this IPSW file to 'take' the parts that make an iPhone is not jailbroken, so we can install Cydia, etc.
Next, and to make it clear .. The Original iPhone (also known as 2G, first generation, GSM, EDGE / GPRS, "first", the fat, the two years, etc.) is released in a manner jailbreak 3gs 6.1.3 (http://3gsjailbreakzone.com) different from the iPhone 3G. We simply do not need or yellowsn0w redsn0w or anything. His method is called Bootneuer, and does not even need to know. Any applications that make you jailbreak, and modify the system so you can use any SIM card. So to say that 'has left the jailbreak for iPhone' is the same as saying 'The Original iPhone can use any SIM card'.
Do not delete anything, it does not hurt, just do the jailbreak and have an iPhone you can use any card from any operator, without installing Yellow-Red-Sn0w from Cydia or anything. That said, the iPhone 3G stopped. Ultrasn0w not "free" iPhone 3G is actually a program, a process that intercepts traffic between the SIM and the baseband to tell the latter that it is a legitimate SIM, but it is not.
