Ще ми се да попитам за няколко изречения, от упражненията в учебника... моля който може, да помогне.
Put the verbs in brackets into the correct tense
I suggested Ben take up fishing as hobby, but he said he'd rather .......... (take up) golf.
She'd rather you ............ (not/tell) Ian about that - it was going to be surprise.
Kate would rather .......... (go) to the gym after work than go home and relax.
I would rather ............. (play) football last Saturday.
Our coach said it didn't matther that we lost the match, but he'd rather we ........... (win).
[/b]
не е инфинитив .. връщаш едно време назад..имам предвид , че ако изречението ти е в сегашно време в конструкцията с would rather глаголът е в минало време. ето ти и примери:
When we want to talk about a course of action we would prefer someone else to take, we use I'd rather + past tense:
I'd rather you went
He'd rather you called the police
I'd rather you didn't hunt elephants.
NOTE: the stress can be important in these sentences, to show what our preference is:
I'd rather you went = not me,
I'd rather you went = don't stay
He'd rather you called the police = he doesn't want to
He'd rather you called the police = not the ambulance service
ако все пак имаш проблеми, бих направила и упражнението![]()
There is a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasnt because I thought I would be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone. Because what if you learn that you need love? And then you don't have it. What if you like it? And lean on it? What if you shape your life around it? And then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is, death ends. This? It could go on forever . . .
